Located west of Beenleigh and surrounded by the Logan River, Bethania is an older suburb that features brick homes. The suburb is located on flat river plans and is also home to a more exclusive area called Bethania Waters.  Located in the growth corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Bethania has experienced strong price growth over recent years.  The most significant employment opportunities can be found at nearby Beenleigh, but many people commute from Bethania to Brisbane or the Gold Coast by either road or rail. There is one primary school located in Bethania, with another located in nearby Eden's Landing. There are retail precincts in Beenleigh and Waterford West.
