Profile
A
small, geographically constrained suburb in the Logan Shire,
Hillcrest is bounded by the interstate rail line and the Mt
Lindesay highway, leaving very little room for further
expansion.
Developed mostly in the early 1980s, the majority of
properties are three-bedroom brick and tile homes favoured
by families.
First home buyers have recently moved into the area to snap
up affordable homes and prices have seen solid growth over
the past year.
There are no schools or retail facilities in the suburb
itself and residents usually do their groceries in nearby
Regents Park. Buyers with children will also be driving them
across the highway for an education in four primary and one
high school in nearby suburbs.
While Hillcrest residents have excellent access to nearby
Brisbane City via the highway, there is little public
transport and a car is a necessity.
The athletics park and water park in Regents Park is a local
source of entertainment as well as the Greenbank RSL.
