Only 24 kilometres from Brisbane's central business district, Meadowbrook is slightly higher-priced than many of its neighbouring suburbs to the south. Meadowbrook is situated minutes from the Logan Motorway and is on the Brisbane-Gold Coast train line, although it does not have its own station. Its surrounding suburbs are Loganlea, Daisy Hill, Slack's Creek. Popular with families, the predominant housing type in Meadowbrook is brick and tile houses. There are a number of primary and secondary schools in the area. Community infrastructure includes a state-of-the-art golf course, Logan Public and Private Hospital, Griffith University and a TAFE campus as well as parks, picnic grounds, barbecue areas and an athletics complex.
