The Mount Lindesay Highway runs through the centre of Park Ridge South, which is only 28km from Brisbane's CBD.  The suburb boasts the tranquil Jerrys Downfall Reserve - a green stretch east of the highway which offers barbecue and picnic facilities in Jingeri Park. Park Ridge South is neighboured by Munruben and Greenbank, which is home to a major military camp and attracts army personnel to the area.
